Roshni ek mere ghar pe

Roshni ek mere ghar pe aate aate dhal si gayi,
Ab andhera sath dega afasosh ki vo dhalta nahi.
Ek akali roshni ko dhek-ti lakho nazar,
Jhund me andhkar chaya ek nazar ki ha nahi.
Roshni lane ki khatir jab jalaya ek diya,
To diya bhi jilmilaya aur kaha jalna nahi.
Haar kar jab than li ki ab to bas marne ki baat,
Jindigi has –has ke aayi ab mujhe marna nahi.
