Sehem jaana, tera ae-dil kabhi,
Kabhi be-khauff, tera ladhnaa. (1)
Kabhi rouna yu ghut ghut ke,
Kabhi has ke biikharr janaa.

Kabhi fursat mein chup rehnaa,
Kabhi mauke pe muskaanaa,
Khudaa ko chahana lekin kabhi,
Phir, phir ulajjaanaa. (1)

Kabhi khud ko haraa daina,
Kabhi duje kaa gham sehnaa,
Kabhi yu ruth na khud se,
Kabhi khud ko mana lainaa. (1)
